University Projects.
Over my three years of university, the following two games were the largest I worked on. Both were end of year projects that were completed collaboratively as a small team.
Jazz and Azul
This was my first 3D project and was the final game I worked on at university, forming my final semester’s submission. My role was to design, model and bring to life the world my teammate and I designed. I was both a 3D and 2D artist, meaning I created all of the assets for both gameplay and cutscenes alike. In summary, this game revolved around issues with segregation and discrimination, we tried to portray these concepts and the problems they cause, through an easy to understand, narrative-driven game.
The Way Home
The way Home was a second-year project I worked on over the duration of a semester. The core of the game was designed by one other student, her idea was then passed on to me and a few teammates for us to produce. Collectively we polished the design to include more gameplay elements in order for it to flow better with the narrative. My role on this team was to research and produce hand-drawn animations for every character. This was a time-consuming process but did teach me the basics for animating, skills that have been the backbone for later 3D character based work.
